Ebike Tips Reviews the Ecobike Forest – Here’s What They Had to Say
The team at Ebike Tips has put the Ecobike Forest through its paces, and they had plenty of great things to say. If you are looking for an e-bike that is just as suited to the daily commute as it is to weekend adventures, this could be the one for you.

What Makes the Ecobike Forest Stand Out?
A Fun and Versatile Ride
Described as a “fun, free-rolling drop bar e-bike,” the Ecobike Forest is ideal for both city riding and off-road trails. While it leans more towards a fast commuter or leisure bike, it still handles gravel and mixed terrains with ease.
Alex said: "Also of gravel provenance are the Microshift Advent X 10-speed gears and 45mm Schwalbe G-One Allround Evo tyres. The latter, in particular, are a great choice. While not intended for full mountain bike level off-roading, they provide enough traction to get through those unwelcome stretches that prove to be way rougher than you'd guessed when looking at the map, yet they then roll very nicely indeed when you return to the asphalt."

Quality Components for a Smooth Ride
Featuring Microshift Advent X 10-speed gears and 45mm Schwalbe G-One Allround Evo tyres, this bike offers smooth shifting and excellent traction on different surfaces. Whether you are riding on tarmac or tackling gravel paths, it delivers a stable and confident experience.
Alex said: "The smallest gear is a dinner plate sized 48T, which combined with the 44T chain ring ensures a low enough gear for almost any occasion."
Powerful Yet Natural Assistance
The Bafang rear hub motor, combined with a 350Wh frame-integrated battery, provides a natural and supportive boost. Whether you are cruising on flat roads or climbing hills, the assistance feels smooth and well-balanced, giving you that extra push without feeling overpowering.
Alex said: "I found I got decent range. EcoBike suggest you’ll be able to get “up to 80km” but I actually managed 85km (53 miles) on my first charge. While that only included about 400m of climbing, about 10% of the distance was off-road, varying from gravel to thick mud. That's a very good return."

Lightweight and Agile
Weighing just 16.8kg, the Ecobike Forest remains light and responsive, making it easy to handle in both urban and off-road settings.
Alex said: "Forest is actually a perfectly viable bike without the motor. I did one 40-minute ride entirely unassisted and while I was a few miles per hour slower than on my road bike, I was able to maintain a decent enough pace without killing myself and didn't at any point feel like it was dragging me back."

Final Verdict
Ebike Tips praised the Forest’s combination of speed, comfort, and practicality. It is a great choice for anyone looking for a versatile, well-built e-bike that offers excellent value for money.
